These exist. 100x more scratch resistant than regular media. You can use a metal kitchen scrubber and it will still work after. GOOGLE.com

walterdsouzajr Ofcourse, as long as the device can read regular media it will read this new scratch proof media also. TDK and SONY offer this media, I am not sure about other companies. You can search with google.com or check ebay.com.
