DVD-RW can not record CD?

My recoreder it's PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-109 ,i us it to recorded for 700 more CDs,now i change a new brand RecordCD , and i try to record 10 CDS, just 1 CD success, does it means my recorder its already broken or my CDS are bad or...

zenzen90 Thank u , yes this recorder using for a long time, its turn bad now, so i guess it couldnt working longer
