Ohhhhhhhhhhh that time of the month can be a pain and to top it all we have to deal with mood swings and other PMS syndroms - I have some pills (Midol) that are should be helping me feel better during these times and while it does take away my pain my moods are still the same... How do you deal with PMS??

In each woman the symptoms of PMS are different, some cramp to no ends, some have really bad mood swings, and the flow greatly differs as well. Being a woman myself I wish there was a way to abolish this annoyance without having to go through some sort of surgery or waiting til I was older and gone through menopause. For now though I deal with it the best I can. I have a very supportive husband which helps, when and if I start suffering from bad mood swings and think it's all his fault that I have to go through this wretched thing each month. He pratically pampers me for a whole week, possibly to save his head from being tore off and shoved where the sun don't shine..lol All joking aside I don't think I would handle it very well without the support from my husband. The pills never worked for me. So if I am cramping so bad, that I can't get out of bed, he will gently massage my stomach until the cramp releases it's monsterous grip from me. If he notices my moods are particularly bad one day, he does things that will make me smile and forget why I had even been in a bad mood to begin with. He knows that when it's that time of the month that I always feel dirty, so he will run bubble baths for me after the days work has been completed. He does all this without any prompting from me, so if it wasn't for him, I would most likely be the devil incarnate during that time of the month. It surely helps to have someone supportive like that to get through such an annoyance as PMS can be.

It sucks worse than anything in this world. But I am glad that I have found such a caring person in my husband. I really hate to think of what I would become if he wasn't in my life. You're welcome.

Funny enough PMS hits me AFTER my time of month..I don't know why but I hate it. I got to the point once that I thought I was going to stab someone close.... that's when I went on antidepressants again. I knew something was wrong with me so I went right to the doctors.

Wow that sounds real bad...while I do get irritable and easily upset I tend to realize now that it is that period of the month and often try to control these outbursts - hope you are doing better now.

I am lucky all I get is cramps. No mood swings or sickness or any other side effects like that. Once and awhile I get a headache during that time also but that is it. Midol helps the cramps
