Andyvil I think its okay to spend a bit on the extra things. Although money is important I think that the happiness of the kids is far more important than spending a couple of bucks. We really don't need to spend a lot on giving gifts to them.

Andyvil Kids really won't care about the price of the gift you give them. What really matters to them is receiving gifts this season. Last year I just gave my niece and nephews $10 each and they were very happy with it.

Andyvil This has happened to me the other year. I went over my budget buying alot of small items using my card. My bill also reached $1000 by January and I had to pay the bill with interest on the succeeding months.

Andyvil The only simple thing that I did this year was to limit my gift to myself. Unlike the previous years where in I squandered my bonus this year I am planning on using only a partial amount of it for gift giving.

Andyvil Price isn't an issue to children. They usually are happy receiving the simplest of things. Spending a couple of bucks won't hurt me, but making my loved ones happy is priceless.

Andyvil I want to spread the happiness but I think you really don't need to spend much to make a child happy. Children are easy to please and they don't mind the value of the gift. What matters to them is that they receive gifts during Christmas.
