Anyone know how long budgies are fertile for? Is it the same time for both the females & males? Also when does the fertility stop and when does it start?

Growing new feathers = colder?

Currently it's autumn here and my budgies are growing new feathers, you can see the spikes are their faces. Since they are growing new ones does this mean they have less plumage for a while and will be colder?
