ByronEA The translator translated the text as literally as possible. The most literal translation I have ever seen. If you ever want to know what the original languages LITERALLY said, read the Yong's Literal Translation.

ByronEA No, there is no difference in meaning. Amen means "[it is] Truth". I pronounce it with a short a "ah-MEN". Sometimes, I go back to my childhood ways and pronounce it in Hebrew: "ah-MAIN"

ByronEA I do not believe using his Sacred Name to be a requirement for our prayers to be heard. That is venturing into legalism, and besides the Lord's Prayer does not use the sacred name even once, nor does any New Testament prayer.

ByronEA As an Episcopalian, I believe that both are essential to true religion. Our faith is a three-legged stool: Scriptures, Tradition, and Reason. Our faith is that we can find truth and spirituality by using all three of these.

I am listening to Blake Shelton's hillbilly bone! Its a great song! My redneck side always comes out when I am heartbroken. My ex and i split up yesterday, and I am blaring country music on the computer today! Its helping! :)

ByronEA It is a good song, but its too mellow for me right now. I need some upbeat country. :) I am from preble county, Ohio. One of the most redneck areas you can get north of the mason dixie line. lol. I miss it at times. :(
