This is 8 am in Oregon, usa. Smoke is so thick it blocks the sun and it is so cold I had to turn the furnace on to warm the house. Three western states are on fire and I am in the middle of it. I am packed and have everything...

Thanks...thats the problem..there is no way out, not unless I could drive east away from the fires..they are burning in the mountains that all go north and south and the wind is blowing the smoke west (where I am) about 50 miles from the Pacific. And...

We were having nice ordinary summer weather, hot during the day, pretty blue sky, cool evening. Then the wind changed and fires started and the air is so thick I have to wear a mask to go outside. I have all my things packed and...

I had to get out of the house this morning to....just be somewhere else, think about other things... Went to town and enjoyed walking around a nice- summerday neighborhood/shopping mall, and on the large shady parking lot I found...

A beautiful August , Oregon morning shining on my "back 40 blackberry patch" and through the tree Obetty planted back there 12 years ago... I would say it has done very well...Thank you morning-sun... We have to enjoy the moments...

Going in to Walmart yesterday was Interesting! They had a gate with several people at it, looking you over, making sure you had a mask.. marking you down on the papers and computers..... I was the only one walking in at the moment...

I gotta get out! I carry hand sanitizer with me and use it all the time..Wear a mask at all times..when I get home I spray me and everything in the car (including what I bought), change clothes and shoes. I don't go out a lot, but can't stand to be trapped...
