twilight saga book 5: midnight sun--the unfinished masterpiece

i've read the 5th book by stephenie meyer, midnight sun. it's like twilight but told through edward cullen's eyes. it's, i would say, more romantic than twilight. but the sad part it, the author doesn't want to finish the book...
