I just went up a flight of stairs and someone coming down stopped themselves from coming down and waited until I'd reached the top. I'm not certain it was due to superstition but they weren't narrow stairs so we could have passed...

lols189 i see that does happen quite a lot everywhere when i am going up a flight of stairs and the person at the top waits till i reach the top before they proceed to walk down. i dont have a clue what the meaning about it is. i dont really believe in superstitions...

arystine I love Dakota Fanning in Uptown Girls. She acted like a grown-up lady. She's a good actress and she really moved me in that movie. I'm looking forward to watching her in New Moon as part of the Volturi. I heard she acted well as a vampire.

It seems that only me is interested in eating snacks in my family. My husband doesn't eat it at all. I give it to him but he doesn't like eating it anyway. So I am lucky, I eat all the snacks.

I am curious to hear people's point of view on the death penalty. Personally, I am not against it, however, I think by giving the death penalty, the criminal gets off easy. What are your views?

dclary I agree that a convicted killer be killed the same way they killed. My husband thinks that they should allow the victim's family carry out the killing.

dclary I have to agree with you about society paying for inmates up keep. It is a shame that they have free access to health care, education, etc. and that people on the outside pay handsomely for it.

dclary Hi lilybug, thank your for your input. I do think a lot of my "food cravings" come from habit. I haven't gotten myself into the habit of eating something right before I go bed...I know, pretty dumb but I just can't seem to help myself...lol.

dclary It is funny how the brain works. I had a friend of mine ask me if I eat excessively because of boredom. I had to ponder on that for a while and wonder if there would be some truth to that as well.

granite_butterfly Food and eating are very much addictions. You can find a wealth of information over the internet at different eating disorder sites. Help is available and I strongly encourage you to do some web searching on this one. Peace of mind and body can be had...

dclary Thank you for responding jammy. It's strange, I don't eat all day until dinner and then I tend to pick at something for the remainder of the evening. Sometimes it is just because I crave the taste of something.

jammyt Yes, there is. Studies show that eating excessively can lead to obesity. Try to control your eating habits specially if you start eating even if you are NOT hungry. In the long run, you might end up getting sick.
