I never really bought shoes or any other kind of apparel items at the dollar store, but I do buy household items there. They are cheaper and its the same item that is sold in other retail stores. I don't care too much about the "made in China" or where ever....

I have friends that do the same thing. Some of these friends also hate it when I ask them to go with me, but they usually find something cute and buy it. I love $1 stores, the one we had in my town went out of business, and I miss it! I also love to shop...

I know why they say they got it somewhere else is because they are snobs. I have a friend who buys jewlery from Avon. Avon has great stuff, we were somewhere and someone admired her ring. I said she got it at Avon. She was so mad at me she did not speak to me...

I always go to the $store, the candy bars don't cost more than a $, cigarettes are way cheaper, school supplies are cheaper too & well, the cashier in the $store here in our area is really hot!

It's beyond me why anyone would lie about things like that. Don't they realize people can spot dollar store items right off, well, for the most part. I have known people like that too. Heck. I'm proud of a bargain I don't care if people know I'm cheap.
