How to remove darkness from skin?

I naturally have fair skin. But dut to sun's rays my face became dark due to sun tan. Is there any ways to remove the darkness that result from the sun tan?

Tx38special I have used vitamin E oil for my scars......seems to work, they are lighter. worth a try or that Palmer's coco oil, lotion.
