Why the women are so depressed than men?

I read somewhere that the women have twice the rates of depression as men. How could this be? All the people are access to education, careers, therapy etc., So what is getting to the women depressed? Do the harmones play towards...

artuurs_g there are 3 types of depresion : endogen (endogenic disregulation of limbic system etc) organic/ somatic (caused by another illness) Reactive (bad love, tragedy etc)
