Why do you pray?

I have been thinking about this.Why do we really pray.Most of my friends said that they pray so that they can go to heaven/Life becomes easier/They suceed in life.Is that why we were meant to pray?If it is indeed so then isn't God...

assassinx255 i dont pray, i dont beieve in any religin... If there was a god then why are we here?????? Why do we all have to suffer if he could make the world a nice place.
