Homeschooled versus Normal Schooling

Is it true that being homeschooled has its advantages over normal schooling? Can anyone cite the big advantages for me, because I really can't put my head around this whole homeschooling stuff.

asswhoopin Well, i think home school is an option but i lacks from the social part.I mean your kid will probably will learn more things, but he/she wont meet so much kids and have some fun.
