avawter I think that the trans fat ban is acceptable. It is definitely a way to protect the consumer from an, otherwise, undetectable hazard. You are right about the transfat labelling. In order to determine if a food has transfat, one should look for the words...

When you bake pmc, is it supposed to feel hardened when you remove it from the oven? I ask because I am at least a mile over sea level here and the directions on time and temp don't address that. Food recipes need to be adjusted...

What IS the differentce between sculpey and fimo? Is it price? Seems to me that most of the things you do with fimo, you can do with sculpey even though I haven't found and precious metal clays in the sculpey...

avawter Sculpey clay is really more for crafters than artists. Fimo is an artists material. I have worked with Sculpey before and it is not as durable as the artist polymer clays when baked. I prefer Premo clay, but it is expensive, too.

What Do You Do With Old Polymer Clay?

I purchased some Premo polymer clay a few months ago on Ebay. Unfortunately, when I started using some of the bricks they were dry and crumbly. Does anyone know if there is a way to soften up the clay so that it is usable?
