best way to get out of depression?

when I am depressed I used to have medicine, suggest whats the better way to get out of depression without medicine?

avengingangel1 For me, writing has been a big help if i'm feeling REALLY depressed. Also, listening to music. The biggest, and sometimes, hardest step for me is being able to talk it out with my support system of caring friends I have finally found.

avengingangel1 I can so totally relate to the wanting to die. Like you, I did think of the people I care about and the handful of people that I KNOW care about me. I couldn't do that to thm so I knew I had to keep fighting...through the darkness and the pain. Do I still...
