My dh works out of town all the time. He works during the week, of course, but also has to work weekends pretty often, too. Out of the average month, I might see him 3 or 4 days. Sometimes I get so tired of being "single"...

beckyjo I'm so sorry for what you've been through with your daughter. I went through hospitalizations with my daughter, too, and it's really tough! I know how you feel about when they finally get to come home. My dh came home last night. It's nice to have him here...

beckyjo Yeah, it sucks sometimes. Fortunately it rarely bothers me very much. It actually tends to bother him more to be gone than it does me most of the time. You're right - I am just having an ugly week, so needed to vent a bit. It helps to know others out there...

beckyjo Hopefully your dh won't be out of town quite so much by the time your child is older and it's harder for you to travel to see him. With mine, this is a lifelong thing...he will never be home much until he retires. Of course, when that happens, I'll probably be...

beckyjo Yes, he stays out of town for 2 or 3 weeks at a time, sometimes more. I have gone to stay with dh for a night a time or two, but it's hard to get away. My little grandson lives with me, plus we have a couple dogs, so it's a big pain to get everything arranged...
