What do you feel about letting kids, or babies cry themself to sleep? I know it is necessary at some point to teach them to fall asleep on their own, but when? and for how long before you go in there? And then what? I hate hearing...

broderick1 I wouldn't let the child cry for more than 5 minutes. Go in and just reassure the child you are there. Or try just staying in the room with the child for a few minutes until they fall asleep. How old is the child? I am not sure what the pattern has been since...
