Why does the media constantly refer to Europe's countries as States?

I know that the EU is made up of member countries,but the media always refers to them as states,and now the media is now calling Kosovo a new state.Is this to condition the masses on a new way of thinking? Seems kind of Orwellian...

bucketosand a state doesn't only mean like what we have here in America... a state is a territory that is united in some way under some form of government, so just because all the American states are part of the same country doesn't mean the media is trying to say all...

I love football and I will always love it but 100,000$ a week!Maybe 100,000$ a month.The reason it's so high is because it more of an industry not a sport. Also people like David Beckham donates so much of his money into charity...

bucketosand I agree that many of these athletes are getting way too much money. We have baseball players here that make nearly if not more than a million a week. Alex Rodriguez makes $25 million per year, which is only 6 months of playing. It's crazy and I don't know when...

bucketosand It was alright about a year ago... Honestly I only bought it for the Halo beta but I was pleasantly surprised. It turns out that my Xbox died so I didn't even get to play the beta... But if you like Crackdown, try GTA IV. it's kind of a similar type...
