Does anyone have a rat terrier?

Mine is not only twice the normal weight (he's 21 pounds of lean muscle), he's virtually impossible to train. I've had dogs my whole life, and this one is the worst. Any tips?

AmStaff I love dogs too ... but never heard of rat terrier... can you please post some pictures with your dog. I am quite curios about this. And ... i had 3 dogs by now... and don't think that he is impossible to train. Every dog may be stuborn .. .but impossible to...

mom2rottie I had a rat terrier, he was very smart. What have you tried using to train him? Do you use treats? What is his favorite thing to do? Ours was to "kill" a toy, so when he did what he was supposed to he got a toy to play with. Does he have a job? Terriers really...
