candyhugo the word"trance" was used metaphorically - sorry if I confused anyone with that. I just meant that emotionally it feels like the music can you to another place.

I read the book first and laughed out loud at least twice a page. The movie was funny too but left out a lot. I didn't see anything about his trip to space or being stranded on the island.
