what is the answer to 3(x+y) and how do you work it out

chwchw you simply multiply x by 3 and then y by 3 which will equal 3x 3y, unless you know what the values are for x and y you just leave it like that. in this case x is a variable and y is a variable, they could represent any number you want them to.
