cikedo I understand that it is instinct, but I would still rather he didn't try to hurt my eldest cat. She is 12 years old and not in the best of health. I really don't want her to end up being bitten or clawed and ending up with an infected wound.

cikedo Time outs sound like a good idea. I'll try that. I'm not sure it will work though since he isn't exactly the smartest cat out there. A time out might just make him angry at me too, but it's worth a try.

cikedo I like the spray bottle idea. My big kitty does get really physical when he's in one of his moods. He doesn't react very well to catnip. Instead of calming him down he starts running from room to room.

cikedo I checked the college bookstore about two weeks before classes started and they had already sold out of used books. Guess I'll have to get there earlier next time.
