Internet Free Music Downloads, is this Legal?

Since i installed Limewire w/c uses peer-to-peer connection from other users, i get free MP3 music, is this legal? How can the music industry survive, if people dont buy CD's anymore?

Cloud03 ya thats right, but i beleive 8 out of 10 users of limewire have downloaded mp3 songs for free, dont we all?? its technicaly illegal but everyones doin it..thanks anyway
