Do you say sir and ma'am when you speak to people? I was not raised nor do I raise my kids to say it to me or family members. I do however, say it when I'm working or just out. My kids will too.

crzybella719 I do. I was raised in Germany, where they even have "Formal" ways of addressing elders. I think it is respectful.
