What's a good virus scan to get?

Just considering a new virus scan to get, what would be your guys recommendations? Please don't recommend the super well-known ones, as that wouldn't really help me!

dangeorgescu I use also avira free downloaded from internet since 4 years now and ... no problem.they even give we protection on free version
