What do you have planned for your next day off of work?

I'm taking every Friday in November off (I have 9.5 days of vacation I have to use). I plan on getting rid of some of the junk that is taking up space in my home.

Do you have a TiVo or other DVR?

Do you have a TiVo or other DVR (digital video recorder)? I have 2 TiVos. They aren't doing me very much good now because I don't have cable. One of my Tivos has a DVD recorder so I can use it to watch DVDs.

Do you have an emergency fund? I currently have an emergency fund of about $800. It's only to be used in cases of actual emergency - car break down, fire, theft. It's not be used because my friends want to go out to dinner.

darceny Could you start by saving even $5 a month? I know that when I started my emergency fund, I had a very hard time. It seemed like no matter how well I budgeted, there was always something that came up. I finally got sick and tired of not having a cushion....
