Wich is better a real Christmas Tree or an artificial Christmas Tree?

We've always done artificial as the needles on a real one can be a PITA to clean especially if you have carpeting. And a one time expense vs a yearly expense. Though on the other hand a real tree you wouldn't have to store it...
