What are srt files ? i have downloaded a movie from a forum in srt format but none of my players can play that format. help please

deep26btech Apart from the movies which are not in English,it is irritating for me to watch a movie with srt files as it distracts me from the original course of the movie.i don't really see a real need of srt files anymore as whatever you don't understand,will remain...

There have been times when you go to a movie and after its over you might have a feeling that you shouldn't have come for this movie????? So are there any movies like that?????
