When I put /0 into my laptop it says "can not divide by zero". Is there a branch of maths which tries to deal with this? In order to make somthing fit into nothing you have to make it nothing, so should n/0 be 0? Should it be...

this is my point, science repeats what it sees in the world, a new word is not invented for somthing which you can see at a glance is just a swan with a new characteristic but if maths descovers a circle with a new characteristic they say it is not a circle so...

I agree that what and why are closely linked but I doubt many mathematicians would accept my circle although I am sure it would be accepted by the majority of people, I don't see how that is a contradiction, scientists accepted black swans without claiming a...

In maths you deduce from arbitary laws such as 360 degrees in a circle, I could draw a shape which would be empiricaly accepted as a circle with a differen't no. of degrees. Science is concerned with particular circles found in real life like the one I might...

Basicly isn't science induction and maths deduction?, in which case how can maths be a basis for science if you have nothing to deduce from?, and if it is then dosent that mean science dosen't have anythig to do with the real world as its axioms didn't come...

"you can not possibly arrive at a no. which is not specific and definite" This seems to contradict the previous post, maybe it is the arriving bit which is unclear, but then isn't the answer just to reask the question?

This seems more like science, trying to obseve somthing similar, isn't the point of maths that the perfect circle can only exist as a formula and you can only "act" on the form? You wouldn't say you don't know the exact number of degrees in a circle because...
