eukristian3 Just a clarification : char is 1 byte in C and C++ on modern platforms . I recommend studying a bit of Assembly to really understand the way a computer works . You will understand the computer architecture .

Good Linux OS For Programming

Can anyone recommend me any new good Linux OS which is very compact(fits in CD) other than pclinux OS, but has necessary compilers for perl scripting, Java,python and common Gcc.. Thank You..
