Negativity, need advice

I have a friend who has a very negative attitude, and I am generally talking to her for hours on the phone, trying to get her to see things from a brighter perspective. her responses are always "Nothing good ever happens to me"...

butjazz most people are unhappy because they are looking for BIG happiness. but the problem is big moments of joy only come once in a while. but if we can start enjoying the smaller moments of joy, then it will make life beautiful. whether it's the sound of rain...
