on thanksgiving day, there were 2 power failures. the 2nd power failure made my computer mess up with an "unmountable boot volume" error. i finally fixed that by going into the Recover Console and repairing the system files. but...

i just reinstalled windows xp because of viruses and spyware that i needed to get rid of, and now my sound system doesnt work. i tried to check control panel, but i am not sure what to do. does anyone here have any ideas?

you had time to save something and get out fast, what would you save? i would grab my purse, cat and goldfish tank, park my car not near the house, but close enough to walk back to try to salvage my house by turning the water...

i just saw a commercial on tv about how to get a free laptop...

to go to www.myfreecomputer.com is this legit...or a scam...they say they will send you a free laptop...but who knows what they r really doing... has anyone seen this? what do u think about it?
