Is the back of an orange (any kind) safe to consume? What does it contain?

goldenheart yeah thanks it's safe, at least after 3 days when I tried it. I nibbled on it, some of it (not all) while I ate the orange with a lot of the white part.

goldenheart yeah pears are my favorite, avocado tastes and works great. thank you but I already tried the peel and didn't experience anything strange.
