When is the latest a babies eye will change color?

My son is 1 and still has blue eyes,my partner is positive they will change to his color brown but I am not so sure,my girlfreinds eyes stayed blue til she was 6 and they then went green?is that possible can it take that long?

gregorya Most babies start out with light colored eyes (typically blue) and then change, if they are going to, within the first 6 weeks after birth. Most people think brown is the dominant color, as did I until I was pregnant with my son and though he'd be brown eyed...

gregorya I agree. This would drive me crazy because my husband has always been so willing to let me keep my independence. Not saying that it's not going to work for you. It may pass . . . just be careful. A good relationship should strengthen who you are, not tear you...
