Until my father passed away at the age of 66, I had known three people - all under the age of 32 - who had died, in rapid succession, as a consequence of cardiomyopathy. But I had never heard of the disease before that time....

cassandra88 I'm sorry to hear about your father. As far I know this disease can be acquired or inherited. High blood pressure, alcoholism and diabetes are risk factors. If it is acquired then one should opt for lifestyle changes. I haven't known someone who has suffered...
