do you consider a child mentally gifted if he learns the basic shapes at 1 year and 3 months, can count 1 to 10 at 1 yr. & 5 months, and can recite the ABC at 1 yr. & 7 months?

dorisday1971 It makes a difference if the parents are so much involved in child rearing than having the child left in a child care institution or with their nannies because the child's potential capability to learn is not maximized.

shawnasie I would consider my child gifted if he could do those things at those ages. It could also be the results of good teaching by the parents or child care. I hope the child continues in the path he is going.

dorisday1971 Studies show that the speech development of a male child is slower than those of the girls. Your son is gifted, just guide him.

SViswan You don't need to give all that extra coaching for a gifted child. Create the environment for him to observe and explore and the learning (for a gifted child) will happen on its own. I like the fact that you wish to let your son be free.

copperkitten They are beautifull!! Roses are my favorite and I dry them all the time. I tie the stems together with a string or shoelace. Wait till there starting to die, take out of the water and let dry for one day. The hod and spray with extra hold hairspray. Spray till...

peanutjar If you want to keep your bouquet "together"just tie a tie wrap or string on the bottom of the bouquet.Hang them upside down in a dry place.Spray some hairspray or even better some clearcoat varnish in a spray can all over the flowers,leaves n all.They will...

HighReed1 When I dry my flowers, I tie a piece of thread to the bottom of each stem and hang them upside down in a dark place. Make sure they aren't touching each other. That way they dry with the bloom in an upright position.
