What's the whole purpose behind body building?

Our bodies are created by nature. In course of time, they are destroyed by nature as well. Nobody can maintain it for ever. Then, why to build it with so much of effort?

ian1010 being lean is a good sign of being natural.,but i agree that adding more to that leanness is not natural., nothing in life is maintained forever.,to your question here is my answer, though anything in life can't be maintained forever, it is by doing this...

ian1010 just about 140lbs.,not so heavy as others lift., but that is not my 1RM so can't really say.,i'm doing high reps high sets for every bodypart
