I will be coming to America in a couple of months to do some journeys by rail on Amtrak. The Southwest Chief and the California Zephyr. I have travelled on neither to date and was wondering if anyone here has any travel stories...

JimLoomis You will enjoy both trains. I have taken both several times. An Amtrak bus will take you from Emeryville into San Francisco. Just be sure that your ticket shows San Francisco (not Emeryville) as your destination.
