jkhobbs I think that it should be up to the children. Once they are old enough if they want to meet their parent then they should be able to, but I dont think that it is a good idea for parents to be able to have contact when the children are young. It kind of defeats...

Is it okay to request money for a wedding shower gift? My daughter's future sister-in-law wants to give her a wedding shower and put in the invitations that they only want money and I feel it's inappropriate to ask for just money....

jkhobbs I think that it is in poor taste to ask for money. There is definately a more tactful way to get the same meaning across. For instance, if they want cash because they want to go to Vegas then you can state this in the invite and you can have a Vegas style...
