Selfish teenagers

Just let me say beforehand that my teenage daughters, ages 14 and 17 are good students, well-behaved and now, focused on their future. But sometimes, they have a selfish streak that runs a mile wide. I had to get on both of them...

Getting a new pet

Three years ago, my cat of 18 years finally died. I'd like to get a new cat, by I have a very active three year old who is not always gentle. What would be a good age to get a new pet with that consideration?
