krayzee I think I can answer this one. From my experience I noticed that once you get a referral a friend request is sent from you to him or her. Given that this relationship is two way he or she will have to accept you request in order to be added in your friends...

krayzee I totally understand your being protective to your computer, believe me (I am too LOL). You might want to get an antivirus just in case (as you probably know surfing the Internet is not very safe either) and you won't have to bother with viruses anymore. :)
