Does anyone know anything about Gourmet cooking?

I would love to learn gourmet cooking, but all my inquiries lead me to degreed programs. I don't want a degree, I just want to learn to cook some gourmet dishes, or take some gourmet cooking classes, or maybe a good video or book....
