i had been facing this problem for over a week,system is perfectly working fine, there are no signs of slowing down. but i cant install .exe file. is it some kind of virus or rootkit. i heared that, it can also happen if regisry...

lampshad3 are you running windows? then is it Vista or XP ? and i know this may seem a bit drastic, but can you stand to reformat and reinstall windows?
