How do you potty train your child?

I have a 2 year old daughter. We are trying to potty train her now, since I think it's about time to rid of the diapers. (safe lots of money too). But we are having problems because she just wouldn't sit on her potty long enough...

leanne08 it took my little boy a few months to start using the potty he didnt like it at all so tried him straight on the toilet he prefered that so hes been using toilet ever since
