Do you wash your newly bought cloth before first wearing?

I will wash all my new cloth before wearing it. Be it the new cloth still pack in a plastic when buy or hanging on the shelf. I found that new cloth got a kind of cloth smell and I'm so hard to bare with it if not being wash....
