Yes, for sure. I believe that if anyone else extremely religious was asked this question they would be upset at the mother. It is not wrong to be religious, but it is wrong when someone's life, especially a child's life, is threatened because of religion.

They should be on trial, there is no reason for that young girl to be dead all they had to do was seek medical care for her, which is provided to us, God gave us the knowledge to do these things, we should use them to the best of our abilities
