3rd season of greys anatomy- what happened to burke and yang

i just started the 3rd season and it seemed that there are many changes that happened... i was wondering why they had to kick out burke on the show. i think that the story between yang and burke is pretty interesting. the absence...

manelann yeah, i think ravinskye is right... and in addition to that, there are also some new members of the cast who is starting to pop-up like those doctors from L.A who were introduced when dr. montgomery shepperd went there to find out if she's gonna be pregnant...
