I was allowed to have a fun when I was nine years old. It was only for emergencies, but when I turned 10 I got to use my phone as I wanted. I think nine is a good age for kids to have phones, but I have heard of five year olds...

marjincharge I like your thinking. I think it would be a great bargaining chip if a kid wanted a cellphone. If they are able to save money to buy their own cellphone and pay any over limit charges on minutes or texts, they they should be able to have a phone.

marjincharge I didn't get a cellphone until I was in college. I don't see a problem with highschoolers getting phones as long as they keep them put away during school. I think cellphones can be very beneficial so parents are able to get in contact with their kids if they...
