Seeing how dirty my tile kitchen floor gets, I certainly am glad it is not carpeted. With tile you know you can get it clean. A little soap and water, or vinegar. If you really need to sanitize there is always bleach or...

Heather Echola Hubby and I are messy cooks. I love being able to just sweep and mop. Decorative rugs can be a slipping hazard. My brother has nice thick rubber mats for the back and legs.

NJ Chicaa I can't imagine carpet in a kitchen or bathroom. The rest of my apartment is carpeted though. I miss my hardwood floors.

So I been using my homemade laundry soap for about a week now, and must say that i'm pleasantly surprised at the results. My clothes are no longer stiff, but they come out soft. It cleans just as well as store-bought brands....
